Math Power, Vocabulary I and Vocabulary II Flashcards
Price: $12.00
The math and verbal flashcards are highly effective tools that students can use to review common words or concepts used in most standardized tests. The flashcards reinforce key lessons and topics covered in the Math and Verbal SAT/ACT Workbooks. Each card thoroughly explains the concept or definition by listing examples of use and offering practice exercises. The flashcards are easy to use for daily review and concept understanding.
SAT/ACT/SSAT/ISEE Test Prep Workbooks
Price: $42.00
Our modular and customizable books are designed to allow the student to select sections of the workbook to focus on content skill building test taking techniques. With the help of a tutor/teacher the workbooks are used to strategize test taking approaches while catering to the student's individual learning plan. The workbooks provide an abundance of leveled practice problems and questions allowing the instructor to tailor the quantity and difficulty of homework assignments which are appropriately challenging for the student.
Face-to-Face Tutoring Sessions
Price: $45.00/hr (min 10 sessions)
Private tutoring sessions are beneficial in achieving a quick understanding of concepts, application of concepts learned and mastery assessments of specific content areas. Our location is a venue for access to highly interactive technology resources for maximum benefit. The technology resources are SMART Board/Notebook resources and PLATO® courseware, an evidenced based, web-based educational software curriculum aligned with the PA Academic Standards. (Stipends may be available for low income families to supplement the cost of these services)
Online Tests
Price: $150.00/test
Take the National or PA Standards-based Benchmark Test for grades 3-12 to measure a student’s proficiency with the national or State norms. Package includes a score report and an instructional module for one (1) content area.
Practice SAT/ACT Test with score report
Price: $25.00/exam
Take a practice SAT or ACT (paper/pencil) exam to determine how well your child will do on the official College Board SAT or ACT exam. A score report will be provided.
Distance Learning: Online Tutoring
One time registration fee $50.00 Price: $25.00 per content module
Students highly motivated to engage in self-study can use the educational resources from home supplemented with a 2 hour face-to-face session with an academic coach, once a month. An academic learning plan will be developed after the pre-test is taken to assess strengths and weaknesses in specific content areas. Tutorials from PLATO®are web-based and assigned to be completed within the timeframe specified in the assignment.
