Private Tutoring
Students will be matched with highly qualified tutors capable of teaching the subject in ways that work best for the student.
Throughout the year, private tutoring and online tutoring services are provided at times convenient for the tutor/student.

TUTORING FOR INCOME ELIGIBLE STUDENTS
Intellectual Pursuit, Inc. provides financial aid for tutoring service for students that attend public schools and are receiving public assistance.
Accelerated Classes
Small classes (Boot Camp) are available in the summer and prior to the School District testing schedule for students interested in an intense review of content and advanced principles in Math, Reading and Writing. Enrollment is limited to 15 students per class.
Exam Prep Classes
One Day SAT/ACT classes are held to provide students with an orientation to the fundamentals of the standardized college entrance exams. Schedule - TBA
6 week SAT/ACT course provides extensive instruction and practice opportunities for test taking techniques to improve the SAT or ACT score by 80 - 140 points.
The class meets 3 hours/week for 6 weeks and includes, a Math and Verbal coursebook, a practice test, score analysis and an editorial review of the essay for improvement. The next scheduled 6 week courses will be announced.
Private tutoring for the SAT may be necessary to supplement the academic skills needed to successfully reach the desired SAT/ACT score.

The PLATO Learning Environment (PLATO.com)is a web-based educational resource used by our tutors to guide the academic learning plan of our clients. Tutors use PLATO to supplement the academic skill building experience in accordance with the PA Academic Standards and Benchmarks for Math and Reading and Science for grades K-12.
At-Home Access
PLATO Learning Environment software is available for our clients for at-home use. PLATO At-Home is a self directed online resources.
Enrollment for at-home access to PLATO is required. Clients that use the at-home access should meet with a tutor monthly to review the academic development plans and to receive new online assignments.
Financial Aid
Eligible students needing scholarships for tutoring services should complete an application for financial support. The TMG Talmadge Trust for Leadership and Achievement is the funding source for scholarships for students that meet the requirements.

Payment Plans
Payment for all fee-based services should be arranged during the interview. Cash or check are allowable forms of payment for all services.
